Our Vision
Provide scientific facilities that are lacking in interior rural areas
Identify brilliant children and aiding them in realizing their full potential
Establish R&D centres of excellence, and develop an R&D ecosystem
Mission
WAAH is committed to fostering a scientific outlook in India, recognizing that the nation's progress hinges on the strength of its research and development capabilities. Our mission is to bridge the gaps in India's R&D ecosystem by establishing world-class research centers, attracting both domestic and international talent, and promoting public awareness of scientific inquiry. We believe that by empowering the next generation of scientists and fostering a culture of innovation, India can achieve permanent prosperity and become a leading force on the global stage.

Future Goals
As WAAH embarks on its third vision, our focus shifts to Research & Development activities. Recognizing the crucial role R&D plays in a nation's progress, WAAH aims to build an ecosystem that elevates India's standing in the global scientific community. Our goal is to bridge existing gaps and elevate India to the level of developed nations through innovative research and development initiatives.

Meet Our Trustees

My dream is to evolve WAAH organically, without the constant involvement of its founding members. I envision WAAH as a self-sustaining force, growing strong and independent, much like a Giant Banyan tree. I believe that WAAH can be a driving force in India’s development, and I will consider myself a proud Gujarati when that vision is realized.

President, WAAH

To broaden its impact, WAAH collaborated with the Vikram A Sarabhai Community Science Centre (VASCSC) in 2022, aiming to popularize science and promote research in 'Science for Society.' This partnership led to the establishment of WAAH Community Science Centres (WAAH CSCs) and the WAAH Science Laureate Awards.

Our History
WAAH was launched by Shri Praful Amin in the United Kingdom to unite individuals passionate about literature and community service. Initially focused on social work, WAAH soon recognized the need for a scientific perspective within the community. This realization led to the expansion of WAAH's mission to include promoting scientific inquiry alongside community engagement.
In 2015, WAAH began its journey in India, starting in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The organization distributed science activity kits to 231 schools, encouraging a 'learning by doing' approach to foster a scientific mindset among students. WAAH also hosted science competitions and lectures by Prof. Dinesh O. Shah on cutting-edge scientific themes to enhance public understanding of science.
